The Hombre Golf Club opened in December of 1989 with the foursome of Hubert Green, Hal Sutton, Donnie Hammond and Buddy Gardner. Hombre's 27 Championship Holes, "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" feature water on 21 of the 27 holes and is meticulously manicured to PGA specifications throughout the year. Both scenic and challenging, Hombre is nestled amidst wetlands, marshes, lakes and preserves, and is beautifully framed with a stunning assortment of palms, pines and azaleas. For the past twelve years, Hombre has been host of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, earning the course a reputation for intimidation. Hombre is honored to have Hubert Green as Club Touring Professional. Green is among the top 33 all-time PGA Tour Winners. Hombre wants to congratulate Green on his induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Monday, November 12th at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida. On site is The Academy at Hombre Golf Club. The Academy has consistently been named "Top 25 Golf Schools" by Golf Magazine. Course Amenities include GPS Technology on every cart, driving range, chipping and putting greens, Golf Shop and Siesta Bar & Grill, serving breakfast and lunch daily.
