TwinEagles, located in Naples boasts two of the top residential golf courses in Southwest Florida. The Talon, designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II; as well as The Eagle, which was originally designed by Gary Player in 2007 (the course was then called The Aerie), and re-designed in 2011 by Steve Smyers and design associate Patrick Andrews. Smyers is the architect of such famed courses as Isleworth in Windermere, FL (home to some of the world's best players) and many others including Southern Dunes in Orlando and Old Memorial in Tampa. The Talon's grassy fairways and rolling dunes will call to mind the sandy cliffs and mossy glenns of St. Andrew's, where the game of golf was born. The Eagle features exciting elevation changes rarely seen in Southwest Florida, giving a northern feel to a southern course. The Eagle's imaginatively shaped greens, one of which is more than 15,000 square feet, add to the allure of the new course. The breathtaking, 47,000-square-foot, Scottish Manor-styled Clubhouse was designed to capture the ambiance of St. Andrews. The Talon Course is host to The Ace Group Classic in February and The Eagle Course is host to the CME Group Titleholders November 15-18, 2012. In the November tournament, the world's best female golfers will compete for a $1.5 million purse and a $500,000 first-place check, a prize second to only the U.S.Women's Open Championship.
